THE JOB
PROJECT ENGINEER
Due to success and expansion my client is now looking to recruit an experienced Projects Engineer.
Based at the clients Cheshire site the successful candidate will take day to day responsibility for the management of allocated projects to ensure the contract requirements are achieved in the most efficient manner within the specified time-scales and budgets.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To design and build engineering solutions to customer specifications, working with the team members; Engineers, Design Engineers, CAD Operators and Documentation Clerks to produce designs, drawings and documentation.
2. To control the time, cost and quality of individual projects.
3. Support the Project Manager in processing client changes to contracts.
4. Liaison with clients to determine their requirements and assist them in the development of their systems requirements.
5. Liaise/communicate with clients, providing progress and feedback as and when required.
6. Coach and support Engineers and Design Engineers to establish best practice.
7. Assist in the development of company design standards applicable to engineering.
8. Ensure compliance with all Quality Assurance Procedures and current legislation / standards.
9. When deadlines are not achieved, analysis of events and feedback to Management to identify problem areas and prevent re-occurrence.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1.Minimum HNC Electrical Engineering degree
2.Experience of electrical engineering in a controls environment
3.Experience of PLC programming.
4. Project management experience would also be beneficial.
REMUNERATION
Basic salary up to £33k (depending on experience), annual bonus, Flexible working hours are available.
24 days annual leave (rising to 25 in 2009), incremental with service, plus 8 statutory holidays. Sick Pay Scheme, Life Assurance benefit (2 x basic salary) is automatic on joining the pension scheme.
