Experience is required in engineering design and construction, maintaining quality/health and safety standards on engineering projects (including site construction and commissioning), preparing/reviewing risk assessments and method statements and site management for mechanical/electrical work.
Experience with electrical aspects of projects would be beneficial and you will hold an engineering qualification to a minimum ONC or equivalent.
Project Engineer
This is an excellent career opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Client's team.
In this challenging role, you will be responsible for effectively managing assigned projects, maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards whilst delivering on time to achieve commercial targets.
You will be required to manage a varied workload, prioritising according to importance and timescales with minimum supervision.
You will have good organisational and communication skills along with the ability to liaise at all levels
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
To deliver assigned projects on time and within budget;
To ensure projects are completed safely and to the required quality, whilst adhering to the companies Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards;
To ensure detailed plans are prepared, monitored, maintained up to date and communicated;
To effectively manage procurement activities including liaison with purchasing department and communications with suppliers and sub contractors;
To report on a monthly basis current progress and commercial status on assigned projects;
To undertake site management for projects with short period site activity ensuring health and safety performance and quality of work are to a high standard.
To be successful in this position you must be able to work as part of a team and work to tight deadlines, potential having 4 or 5 technical projects ongoing at any one time at different stages of completion, without compromising health, safety or quality.
The successful candidate will be a trained and proficient Project Manager, having a previous experience in a water or process industry.
Qualifications:
Experience is required in engineering design and construction, maintaining quality/health and safety standards on engineering projects (including site construction and commissioning), preparing/reviewing risk assessments and method statements and site management for mechanical/electrical work.
Experience with electrical aspects of projects would be beneficial and you will hold an engineering qualification to a minimum ONC or equivalent.
This is a key role in the company that typically each engineer will control approximately £1.5m income.
The role will require flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the allocated projects.
