My client specialises in the design, build and supply of sophisticated engineering solutions and services to a wide range of sectors to include materials handling, nuclear, power and defence.
Project engineers are appointed to individual or multiple projects for their planning, engineering, and co-ordination of their safe and quality implementation. Project engineers may report to Project Managers or directly to the FMA Projects Manager
Essential Skills and Qualifications
HNC/Degree Qualified, Mechanical Engineer
Demonstrable project experience within a bespoke engineering environment
Design and delivery of projects
Commercially aware
Able to work on multiple projects
Project experience within a heavy industry is essential i.e. petrochemical, oil/gas, process industry
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
Chartered Engineer, or working toward Chartered status.
Ability to technically guide and direct the engineering team
Experience of working to quality assurance systems certified to ISO9000/2000
Experience on a nuclear site
Experience of complex mechanical handling systems
Activities and Responsibilities:
•Lead a multi-disciplined project team
•To safely work to timescale, budget, quality and customer satisfaction
•Supervisory role for staff and contractors and ensure safety measures are
understood and implemented
•Development of a detailed programme including milestones.
Preparation of project and cost breakdown structure
•Assist in writing Project Definition Documents
•Identify areas of high risk and opportunities and devise strategy to
minimise risk and maximise advantages
•Ensure Key Performance Indicators are met.
