Description
A prominent utility services company in Birmingham requires a Water Project Engineer to effectively manage assigned projects
You will be required to manage a varied workload, prioritising according to importance and timescales with minimum supervision. You will have good organisational and communication skills along with the ability to liaise at all levels.
Your key responsibilities will be:
> To deliver assigned projects on time and within budget;
> To ensure projects are completed safely and to the required quality, whilst adhering to the companies Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards;
> To ensure detailed plans are prepared, monitored, maintained up to date and communicated;
> To effectively manage procurement activities including liaison with purchasing department and communications with suppliers and sub contractors;
> To report on a monthly basis current progress and commercial status on assigned projects;
> To undertake site management for projects with short period site activity ensuring health and safety performance and quality of work are to a high standard.
To be successful in this position you must be able to work as part of a team and work to tight deadlines, potential having 4 or 5 technical projects ongoing at any one time at different stages of completion, without compromising health, safety or quality.
The ideal candidate will have attained 3 years experience within the Water industry or a transferable Process industry
