Position Description:

Take responsibility for calibration Vehicle development fleet, covering the following items:- Support all Test and Development meetings, and Vehicle Build meetings.
Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working order at all times, including all mechanical systems and instrumentation. Debug all vehicles (electrical and instrumentation) after initial build, prior to test use. Liaise with instrumentation areas to ensure required level of instrumentation is applied to test fleet. Liaise with workshop facilities to schedule any repairs or updates to test fleet.
Arrange vehicle registration and all necessary paperwork in a timely manner. Order and maintain suitable consumable spares for vehicle test fleet. Arrange for shipping of test fleet (and spares) to various test locations throughout the world. Maintain suitable records of calibration related hardware fitted to test fleet. Support in-territory test trips, taking responsibility for vehicle condition, and where necessary assist engineers with data collection and analysis Follow pre-defined test procedures to collect data from pre-installed vehicle instrumentation. Pre screen data using suitable tools and provide to engineers where necessary

Skills Required:
Knowledge and understanding of Gasoline combustion engines, vehicle maintenance, engine control system fundamentals, ability to use calibration programming tools to update calibrations, and record suitable data.

Experience Required:
A suitable mechanical background is preferred, with good electrical debug skills. Demonstrated use of calibration flashing tools would be of benefit, and suitable computer skills (e.g. WORD and EXCEL) to maintain suitable records as described above

Education Required:
Good level of education qualifications including maths and english.
