We currently require Project Engineers for our aerospace client based in Farnborough. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of the manufacturing of composites and will be looking for a new challenge with an international manufacturer.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To participate in and lead Project Teams on new product introduction, process changes and continuous improvement activities.
Taking responsibility for the main project goals and delivering a product into production, meeting target levels of costs, hours, materials and tooling.
To pro-actively seek opportunities to save cost in all areas of the business.
A member of an IPT of interactive engineers involved in the introduction of new projects, re-engineering of existing work and managing & solving day to day problems/issues.
To interpret, assess and comprehend aerospace standard drawings of components and sub-assemblies.
You will need good drawing interpretation skills, a basic understanding of specifications and be able to work to set procedures and systems.
Review and production engineer a wide variety of components using composite materials and diverse manufacturing processes.
Determine key technical and quality features from drawings and devise desired manufacturing methods to suit.
Design, manufacture/subcontract and commission various tooling used in the manufacture of composite components and assemblies.
Assist with the manufacture of first off components and submit to the Customer for approval.
Liaise with the Customer and determine technical and quality requirements.
Instruct and train production staff in the manufacture of production batches.
Generate all necessary manufacturing documentation using computer driven work packages.
Solve daily manufacturing related engineering problems.
Provide commercial input into new projects and existing cost reduction initiatives.
Provide concurrent engineering support to Customers' design/build programmes.
Conduct all engineering work within the guidelines of an ISO 9000 quality system.

Background:
You will have a solid experience in mechanical & composite engineering.
You will ensure that your work complies with the Quality Requirements of the Company.
You will be expected to remain flexible and co-operative in whatever tasks are requested of you by your Manager/Director.
You may be required to travel Internationally to visit Customers / Suppliers.
You will ensure that you always comply with the Health & Safety regulations of the Company.
