An automotive OEM requires a Project Engineer
Position Description:
To provide particular &/or specific Climate Control system or component technical level expertise Programme or component specific responsibility for climate owned components. To run specific weekly PMST/VFG meetings (or appropriate time frame) ensuring supplier attendance. Provide purchase with detailed technical information required for supplier commercial discussions. Provide technical expertise for resolution of Aims issues as appropriate. Provide the PAT/VFG team with technical guidance for meeting component & system level attributes. Provide technical solutions in line with meeting the eFDVS requirements for program GPDS milestones.
Skills Required:
Good automotive Climate Control System knowledge. Detailed understanding of the Climate system thermodynamics functionality. Climate component technical expertise or specific Climate CAD expertise. A detailed understanding of overall Product Development process required to deliver a Climate System. To provide analysis & resolution of quality issues using the key quality tools. To manage CCS releases in WERS through CMM as required. Good liaison skills with Manufacturing, Purchase and other Engineering departments.
Skills Preferred:
Good organisational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good PC skills i.e. Word, Powerpoint, MS project & Excel
Experience Required:
A Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred but not essential Extensive specific experience in Automotive Climate Control Systems & components development. Extensive experience of supplier liaison on Automotive Climate Control systems & components. Expertise in a specific area of Automotive Climate Control an advantage"
Experience Preferred:
Quality experience as 6-Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt preferable but not essential. CAD experience would be useful but not essential.
