We are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer to work for an Operating company in the South East
The role of the Project Engineer is to manage the detailed engineering, procurement and construction of Capital Projects, following established project procedures and safety management systems. The incumbent is accountable for the results/performance of allocated projects with particular emphasis on safety, cost, schedule and quality. Input of expertise is also required during the front-end Project Development phase, specifically in the areas of Project Execution Planning, schedule development, facilities constructability, cost estimate review and early project execution activities
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Project Planning Produce a Project Plan and manage project SHE programme;
Safety/Health & Environment Document SHE objectives in the Project Plan and manage project SHE programme. Ensure responsibilities under Construction Design & Management and other applicable regulations are met;
Schedule Ensure the drivers for the project schedule are clearly documented and understood by the Project Team. Set achievable project schedules, measure progress and take action as necessary to meet objectives;
Cost Manage project costs within approved limits. Review cost estimates to ensure consistency with Project Plan. Work with assigned Cost Engineer to control costs within approved limits;
Quality Produce and implement project quality assurance plans in order to design, engineer and construct facilities to the required standard;
Detailed Engineering/Procurement Co-ordinate engineering reviews to ensure safety, operability and maintainability are addressed. Prepare Purchase Requisitions and construction contract Job Scopes/Specifications. Manage equipment procurement process through to delivery to site;
Construction Lead construction work preparation to ensure good co-ordination of contractor/client interfaces, through to handover of the completed facility.
Qualifications
Graduate Engineer with good academic track record
Previous demonstrable experience in Process Plant industry or Project Management
Knowledge & Skills
Sound technical appreciation;
Excellent team-working/customer relationship building;
Ability to lead on his/her own initiative with tenacity to solve issues and problems;
Good English communication, written and verbal.
