Our Client owns and operates the largest marine complex in Western Europe and is currently conducting work to upgrade facilities which will enable them to offer the best support for both existing and planned vessels.
Primary Purpose
To assist the Senior Project Engineer to project manage the staged improvement to the facilities within the framework of the clients works programme and Key Performance Indicators. The scope of project management extends from the concept stage through to design, manufacture, construction, installation and commissioning of the facilities up to final handover to the customer.
Principal tasks and responsibilities are as follows: -
1To ensure a plan of key activities and milestones is in place, which consistently represents the programme to be achieved for the package.
2To ensure that effective cost control and monitoring is planned and implemented.
3Ensure that the work package deliverable meet programme, to the required quality and within the agreed costs.
4To ensure that the design and associated safety cases meet the work package programme and is correctly interpreted with the minimum of change, whilst remaining fit for purpose.
5To meet the requirements of the Safety Case for the project during design, construction and inactive commissioning.
6To ensure that the work package construction proceeds in accordance with the Project programme whilst meeting the requirements of the Project quality goals and safety case requirements.
7To closely liaise with the User Commissioning & Acceptance Group (UC & AG) and the operator to ensure all commissioning and operational requirements are identified without prejudicing the programme.
8To identify and manage specifically those areas that represent significant risk to the work packages through proactive planning, i.e. interface management.
9To regularly review the progress of work within the Project and provide management reports on work packages status, including changes to the risk profile, variance analyses and solutions for corrective action as appropriate.
