Our client, a worldwide leader in industrial services to the steel industry, is looking to recruit a Project Development Manager to help expand and develop their presence in the Turkish market.

Our client, a worldwide leader in industrial services to the steel industry, is looking to recruit a Project Development Manager to help expand and develop their presence in the Turkish market. After a training period of between one to two months working with local teams either in France or Belgium, you will transfer to Turkey. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director based in Luxembourg, the successful candidate will:
-Review and validate the Turkish development strategy
-Prospect actively all targeted Turkish steel plants
-Propose a development plan
-Collect all required data to build up the projects
-Prepare the tender documents, calculations and all required studies
-Participate in the contract negotiations with the Commercial Director
-Liaise with the HQ in Luxembourg and the customers
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the steel or allied industry, a good knowledge of the Turkish steel industry, and be familiar with a steel plant (lay out, production process, by-products) etc. Additionally, candidates must be fluent in English, hold an Engineering degree, and ideally an MBA. A specific knowledge in the industrial service sector is also desirable.
Candidates must be prepared to travel extensively as, although based in Turkey, a large proportion of time will be spent on Customer sites.
Real promotion prospects apply as it is expected that after a successful two to three year period the selected candidate will be promoted to the Operations Manager/Director of Turkey.
Salary offered is dependent upon experience but will include competitive bonus scheme, car etc.
