Description
The Project Construction Engineer is an integral member of the Capital Delivery team and assists the Project Manager with fulfilling his contractual obligations.
This is a key role to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of water process construction contracts delivered through Thames Waters Capital investment programme. It requires the management of contractors on site, the successful applicant will apply his skill and experience to manage risks and ensure that the projects that they are working on are delivered to time, cost and quality objectives with minimum disruption to existing processes, customers, the environment and third parties.
The role will require you to manage and input to a portfolio of projects in various stages of their delivery lifecycle in the water process side of the business. The majority of projects will be in the London region of the Thames Water area.
We are looking for staff with good civil engineering construction experience together with an understanding in the mechanical, electrical and or Control and instrumentation aspects of process plants.
You should have a good awareness and working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and construction best practices. This can be demonstrated through experience or formal qualifications and training.
Due to the nature of the role you should have a very flexible approach with the ability to work on your own initiative together with good communication skills and be proficient in the use of email and word processing packages.
