Job Title: Project Co-ordinator Contract Mgt
Location: Radway Green, Crewe, Cheshire
Salary: £24,078 - £28,472

A Project Co-ordinator is required to provide support to the contractor manager in order to fulfil the requirements of the contractor management BMS and to ensure contractors are working within current safety legislation.

Project Co-ordinator. Responsible for Day to day management and control of Contractors allocated to them by the Contractor Manager.
Compiling contractor folders ready for approval from the contractor manager.
Completion of Job Registration process, ensure suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments and Method Statements and authorising work to commence, where necessary using the Permit to Work procedure.
Monitoring of the work undertaken by a Contractor.
Identifying deviations from Method Statements and Risk Assessments and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented by the Contractor.
Stopping work where, in the opinion of the Project Co-ordinator, there is serious or imminent danger to the health and safety of any person.

Key responsibility areas:

Candidates are expected to;
Be a time served engineer
Have a safety background and experience, with relevant safety qualifications e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent. These are not essential and the relevant training will be provided to attain the above.

Ideally have some experience and knowledge of the contractor management process.
They should also note that;

Training will be provided on the contractor management process, construction aspects (including CDM), Permit to Work, and any other training which may be required to manage contractors on site.

They will be required to work in a team and with other functions around the site e.g. Site Support, production areas etc.
There is possible work out of hours and weekend work.
There may be a requirement to represent the site at the quarterly contractor management meetings.
They must be self motivated, have good timekeeping, excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and IT literate.
