Our client has developed a unique range of RF & Electro-Optic Stimulators & Flight Line Test Sets for military airborne applications. In addition they specialise in EW related research, study & support. They require a Project Administrator to provide support to the Operations Manager.

Our client has developed a unique range of RF & Electro-Optic Stimulators & Flight Line Test Sets for military airborne applications. In addition they specialise in EW related research, study & support. They require a Project Administrator to provide support to the Operations Manager. You should be educated to A level standard with an engineering background, prev experience with projects & a good understanding of configuration management & programme reporting.

FURTHER INFORMATION

To oversee programmes on behalf of the Operations Manager (OM) in his absence.

To participate in the programme kick-off meeting, with a view to understanding the extent of programme obligations posed by the new business.

To assist the OM in identifying, both at the outset and throughout the programme, any contracts risks, and define them within a programme risk register, and propose plans to mitigate such risks.

To assist the OM to monitor progress, define corrective action and to prepare status reports for management.

To prepare a plan for material procurement that can be undertaken by Production, ensuring that they are aware of the project needs in terms of cost, specification and delivery.

To manage the material budget within the programme baseline, controlling purchase orders and liaising with accounts and production for warehouse management.

To assist the OM in preparing, a logical break down of work to be undertaken within a programme, capturing it within the Work Breakdown Structure and then using it to develop Programme Plans and Work Package Agreements.

To continuously assess the progress of the work, identifying programme variance or non-compliances to the programme manager.


Skills/Experience
Educated to A level standard
GCSE Maths and English grade C or above
Engineering background
Previous experience in project management
Good understanding of configuration management and programme reporting
Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
Confident with overseas calls to customers
