Description
Programme delivery Manager or production controller required to start immediately for a large defence organisation. The position is for an initial 3 month contract and is based in Crawley
Primary purpose
To control the timely release of work (via the MRP system) to support all in house schedule requirements.
To control internal or external load balancing when required supporting capacity and scheduling constraints.
Programme delivery Manager or production controller required to start immediately for a large defence organisation. The position is for an initial 3 month contract and is based in Crawley Primary purpose To control the timely release of work via the MRP system to support all in house schedule requirements. To control internal or external load balancing when required supporting capacity and scheduling constraints. Key responsibilities Initiate and track the release of Jobs via MRP in accordance with programme schedule requirements including scheduling and rescheduling as appropriate. Liaise with the purchasing and industrial sub contracts departments and appropriate managers to ensure the quality and integrity of material supplies supports the build of the companys products Effectively load manufacturing work centres to achieve maximum efficiency. Qualifications and Skills ONC or HNC in Production or Engineering discipline is desirable 3 to 5 years in manufacturing industry including working within the production control environments is desirable Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings Good working knowledge of production control information and reporting systems Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate Must be computer literate and be conversant with MRP systems and principles
