Our client requires a Programme Manager to head up the programme team for the IT element of a major rationalisation programme within the Defence industry.
Our client requires a Programme Manager to head up the programme team for the IT element of a major rationalisation programme within the Defence industry.
Responsibilities:
Run the day to day running of the programme on behalf of the CIO
Manage the interaction of the projects
Ensure governance is complied with
Matrix management of all staff within the programme structure
Provide reporting of the programme to all stakeholders where required by the CIO
Be the Point of Contact for all external activities
Control the overall budgets and report as required
Be the point of escalation for all project issues.
Preferred Skills:
An appropriate qualification/working knowledge in Project or Programme management.
Having held a previous role in a management position such as Head of IT/IT Director for a major/Blue Chip company
A sound awareness IT Technologies
background of working in programmes to deliver capability to the MOD
Expertise in bringing all the above and managing a large project or programme environment within the MOD
