Excellent opportunity for an experienced production planner / process expeditor
This position involves the daily management of the Department's sales output in order to meet both the sales forecast and the expectations of customers.
The principal duties are as follows:
1) Co-ordinate the 'output' section so that monthly sales output forecast figures are achieved.
2) Ensure that sales orders are processed correctly thorugh production to agreed procedures and shortages are identified promptly.
3) Assist planning/programming of work through the Production Control Department.
4) Ensure that project and technical documentation is completed according to contract requirements.
5) Maintain the overall Department's project schedule.
6) Expediting of suppliers purchase orders and internal works orders.
7) Ensure the timely completion of internal works orders.
8) Mobilise other Departments as required for the fulfilment of the Contracts.
9) Identify and expedite sales order shortages.
10) Attend internal review and other Departmental meetings where appropriate.
11) Visit customers where appropriate
The key skills required:
1) Sound engineering background, preferably qualified to BTEC, HNC level or equivalent.
2) Good working knowledge of MS office, including Word, Excel, Access, Project and Adobe writer.
3) Experience of Material Requirements Planning systems (MRP).
4) Strong interpersonal, negotiation and organisations skills.
