To support their increasing product portfolio and consistent order book, this leading niche manufacturing organisation, operating as part of a group of companies are looking to appoint an experienced planner at their recently refurbished manufacturing facilities.

The role will suit production planner / materials controller who has gained several years experience within a manufacturing environment and has excellent MS Excel and MRP knowledge.

The role will suit production planner / materials controller who has gained several years experience within a manufacturing environment and has excellent MS Excel and MRP knowledge.

You will be responsible for ensuring that there is a continuous flow of material to the production line to ensure sales orders are met whilst continually looking at ways to reduce stock holding.

Key responsibilities will include

Ensuring components are ordered to meet sales forecast on all products
Raising an works orders to maximise production capacity
Submitting monthly capacity plan to review available resources and identify and potential bottlenecks
Monitoring Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure agreed levels are not exceeded
Ensuring adequate stocks of components are maintained
Working closely with purchasing to minimise stock holding
Ensuing engineering change requests are incorporated at the right time into the schedule
Managing the MRP system / data bases
