Material Controller
Our client is looking for a highly motivated individual to join its Logistics department as a Material Controller to ensure high standards in its supply chain management. Working within the Material Control Team and being part of one of our six function groups, the role reports to the Material Control Team Leader.
Main Responsibilities:
Managing a supplier portfolio, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules in line with production requirements, supplier lead times, and warehousing capacities.
Continuously being aware of, and pro-actively addressing potential or actual shortages.
Close liaison with other disciplines within the logistics organisation, as well as other departments (especially production and quality).
Planning and providing logistical support on new model projects / option introductions.
Personal Specification
Previous MRP / Material Control experience, including exposure to MRP systems, is essential for this role.
Good understanding of supply chain management.
Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, especially automotive serial production, would be a distinct advantage.
Experience of working in project teams to deadlines.
