Production Manager - Manufacturing - Leeds
My client is a global leader in manufacturing for automotive sector and specialising in warning and health & safety equipment for the automotive and other sectors. They have been established since 1994 and are currently seeking an experienced Production manager to join their business.
The ideal Production Manager will be reporting directly to the Head of Operations and must have experience of working in a hands on role in the manufacturing industry, SPC, FMEA, 6 Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban. You will work towards creating a 5S or similar working environment and be able to set up and implement lean manufacturing techniques and you must have practical experience of jig development and fixtures for component assembly and some experience of Health & Safety. The role will encompass ensuring deadlines are met for despatch, you will be working closely with engineering, NPD and logistics to ensure new products are launched smoothly into workplace, develop a culture of problem solving, implement annual plan after its approval, optimise production flow by recommending lean improvements and ensuring health and safety is adhered to on site.
