Production Manager c£40k + full benefits, Hertfordshire
The company: Global manufacturing organisation with sites in the UK, Europe, Asia and US offering complete solutions to the Automotive, Aerospace and other engineering industries.
This position is based at their smart manufacturing medium sized facility in Hertfordshire, and in your capacity as Production Manager you will have responsibility for 45 indirect shop floor staff through 5 dedicated team leaders.

Due to a strong order book and continued market success, this progressive company are seeking a tenacious Production Manager to undertake a pivotal role in support of manufacturing operations.
You will be targeted with overall management of production assembly and test and within this remit you will utilise you mechanical / electro-mechanical manufacturing acumen and leadership skills to:
Lead and motivate your team to ensure on time delivery of product
Continually challenge current practise and look at ways of driving forward continuous improvements within your area
Assume budgetary responsibility for your team
Ensure operational objectives are achieved in line with senior management
Prioritise work load and ensure that in conjunction with purchasing, planning and stores that the materials are available to meet production demand
Promote best practise and right first time philosophies within manufacturing and more
This role offers a great deal of autonomy for the right individual and there is a real opportunity to make a mark within the manufacturing area.
The successful applicant will come from a mechanical, electro-mechanical manufacturing environment and be used to leading teams within an assembly environment. Ideally HNC + qualified in a mechanical or related engineering discipline you will either currently hold a position as Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager and be looking to join a more forward thinking organisation, committed to advancement or possibly hold a senior Team Leader / Cell Managers role in a large organisation and be looking for a broader role. Either way, the ability to demonstrate your successes is key as the role is a critical role within the business.
