Production Manager required for a company producing the largest range of amphibious, diesel engined hovercrafts available anywhere in the world.
Job Specification:
The successful candidate will be an experienced production manager with a background in the marine market. This is an exciting opportunity for the right manager to lead an established and experienced team in a major new project.
Key responsibilities:
- Multi Discipline team management covering Engineering, Metalwork, Electrical and Boat building,
- Overall team management of 30-40 people including team leaders,
- Project management of a major new project,
- Liaison with design, procurement, internal and external customers,
- Project planning and working to time scales,
- Recruitment of new production staff when required,
- Involvement in the appraisal and day to day management of staff. The ability to motivate and get the best out of your team.
Person requirements:
- Proven production management experience in a marine environment,
- Ability to work to deadlines and plan projects effectively,
- Proven man management and motivation experience.
