Production Engineer NPI - A vacancy exists for a Production Engineer to provide electronic engineering and design support to Production, Purchasing and Commercial departments. The focus of the role will be the production engineering aspects of new products to ensure smooth transition form design to production.
Based in Gloucestershire and is commutable from Stroud, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Cirencester, Evesham etc.

Production Engineer NPI - A vacancy exists for a Production Engineer to provide electronic engineering and design support to Production, Purchasing and Commercial departments. The focus of the role will be the production engineering aspects of new products to ensure smooth transition form design to production.
Based in Gloucestershire and is commutable from Stroud, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Cirencester, Evesham etc.
Main duties will include: Ensuring that new products are introduced into production in a manner that achieves "right first time" cost effective manufacture. Attend Design reviews, in order to influence product manufacture and identify alternative manufacturing techniques and processes, where applicable. Identify & specify the requirement for production tooling and assembly aids for new & existing products. Liaise with appropriate departments for the procurement of tooling and assembly aids necessary for the production process. Develop and produce Manufacturing Instructions (Layouts) and Route Cards to ensure good product quality and repeatability in production. Manage manufacture of 'Special To Type' test equipment, either in-house or subcontract. Provide a technical input to product fault finding and diagnostics. Be familiar with product "Burn In" plans and procedures in order to organise the production of product fixtures and test programmes.
For this role an Electronic engineering background would be ideal with broader experience of mechanical /
software / systems disciplines. You will need a Degree in an appropriate technical discipline. Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness are required as well as being a well organised, robust, self motivated team player.
