Description
We are one of the world's leading providers of fundamental technologies in developing countries, in aircraft engines, transportation, energy, oil and gas and water process technologies. We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our team.
Essential Functions
* Provide manufacturing engineering support to operations areas (Computing Systems, Barometric Instruments, Gyros, Fuels etc)
* Employ advanced manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure ideas are generated, developed, and implemented through a process of proactive team involvement;
* Act as daily key focal for all process-related issues and provide support on product-related issues;
* Manage equipment resources to ensure on-time product delivery, for all manufacturing and associated operations areas within the Cell;
* Lead and ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures and provide guidance and training where necessary;
* Identify Cost effectiveness and cost reduction initiatives and deliver to ensure that the area continues to reduce costs and improve on time delivery.
Requirements:
* HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline plus significant engineering and/or support experience required.
* Previous experience as a production or manufacturing engineer in a similar environment is essential.
* Experience must include one or more of the following, in a high -value, low volume operations environment - precision machining, electrical, electronic and mechanical assembly techniques (manual and automated)
*Highly numerate or able to interpret and execute production plans and Operations metrics and targets:
