Our prestigious client s a world leader in its field offering unrivalled expertise in the design and manufacture of electrical connectors and fibre optic connectors.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in their Manufacturing department for a Production Engineer.

The ideal candidate should be qualified to a minimum of ONC in a Mechanical or Production discipline and have provable experience in a production environment within engineering, you will also have some experience of using/implementing Lean techniques.

The Successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

1.To co-ordinate all necessary assembly activity for production areas as identified by the Production Engineering Manager.

2.To investigate method improvement and cost saving projects in the manufacturing areas.

3.To support Production/Sales/Engineering in the preparation/amendment of Process Specifications and Routings.

4.To conduct process and concept FMEA's.

5.To assist with the implementation of 'Lean Techniques' to new and existing processes within the production areas.

6.To complete reports for capital expenditure proposals.

7.To review cost savings in line with capital expenditure projections.

8.To liaise with Engineering to ensure components are designed for manufacture.

9.To remain aware of technical developments and review manufacturing methods.

10.To train and develop colleagues and trainees as directed by the Production Engineering Manager.
