Production &Quality Engineer Maldon£Excellent package
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is seeking to develop their manufacturing experience and join a company that will offer long term career prospects into management . On the way you will be given exposure into all aspects of a mechanically biased manufacturing in the UK and overseas ( Europe and China) You will work with the production teams to improve yields and therefore cost effectivity, which will assist the client in it target of quadroupling in size in the next 5 years. Based in Maldon, our client is part of a group of companies. They have a manufacturing facility on site, plus one in eastern Europe and also they are developing working partnerships with suppliers in China..
On joining the company you will spend time within the manufacturing area, taking a hands on approach to learn all about the company products.
You will then be expected to seek ways to improve production levels
You will monitor yields, and analyse failures
Working closely with associated managers: Product, R&D and Materials to suggest improvements :
Operator training
Workshop layouts
Design of jigs and fixtures
Recommend new assembly techniques
Analyse material usage
You will also be involved with supporting product produced at partners sites overseas, this will include travel to sites and then similar duties as above.
Person spec:
BSC/HND level mechanical engineering
Hands on approach
Self starter, who is able to work on own initiative
Someone who is seeking long term career progression into management
Communicates well with people at all levels, and from diverse backgrounds
Travel overseas is essential - especially during new product launches when you could be abroad every 2 weeks for 2 weeks
