We are seeking Production & Planning Engineers, based in Scunthorpe, Rotherham or Teesside, to be responsible for planning, evaluation, and monitoring of all internal and external customer requirements, to ensure they are achieved, as well as ensuring compliance with and updating Quality Procedures in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001.
For all work processed through the Structural Workshops (excluding shotblasting and painting of plate), the Production & Planning Engineers must establish the work content and resources necessary to manufacture the components in the most efficient and cost effective way to meet the specification and delivery requirements of the customer. The developed plans must be communicated accurately and effectively to the remainder of the department by means of method statements, job procedures and written instructions.
Your key responsibilities will include assessing customer requirements, planning, monitoring work, proposals for and implementation of improving manufacturing methods, evaluation of all orders prior to planning, inputting and updating the Structural Workshops forward load system, estimating availability of material with steel control, planning and controlling Plant period orders and preparing enquiries, assessing quotes, placing orders/indents and monitoring sub-contract work in order to achieve customer requirements within Structural Workshop budget.
You will also offer an advisory service to Site Engineers on refurbish and emergency breakdown work. This progresses the swift refurbishment of the work and aids price evaluation.
