Product Development Engineer
Derby

An experienced product development or project engineer required to join a highly motivated technical team. The role will involve working in a multi-disciplined team of experts in design, materials, manufacturing and testing, working on new products, material changes and improvements to electrical products. Required to generate documentation & reports, liaise with marketing and sales teams, and introduce products to manufacturing. Ensuring manufacturing staff have been equipped with adequate processes, procedures, tools and equipment to meet the requirements.
Key Duties:
Review designs throughout prototype verification
Actively co-ordinate and partake in the prototype build
Review or create Electro Mechanical documentation for production builds and negotiate implementation with shop floor.
Able to demonstrate reverse engineering methods
Prepare and update cost models and estimates for recurring build cost, both materials and labour.
