Our client is a leader in the global emission technology industry serving worldwide light and commercial vehicle manufacturers with operations in 19 countries and 7,500 employees worldwide. Due to expanding business they have exciting opportunities at their purpose-build technical centre in Lancashire. Successful candidates will be required to support the introduction of new commercial vehicle exhaust products to the OE market. This post should be seen as a development opportunity leading to a Lead Engineer role.

Specific responsibilities will include:
•Provide engineering support to engineering project leader
•As part of a multifunctional team, improve product design and function
•Day to day management of prototype builds and product testing
•Participation in product risk analysis (DFMEA) and definition of validation programmes
•Collaborate with customers and other partners to accomplish programmes objectives
•Daily project planning
Qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, you will have a good understanding of engines, combustion and/or emissions control or acoustics. Some automotive experience would be advantageous and you will ideally have some experience of exhaust development or manufacturing and/or testing or product development/design.
