Our client is an established manufacturer of PLC and SCADA systems for any area of manufacturing and processes. Due to continued increases in business, they are looking for an experienced Applications Engineer to advise the technical sales department by providing automation solutions to the customers. We are predominately looking for people with a good understanding of PLC & SCADA programming, preferably with experience in Telemechanique, although applicants with a deep understanding of programming with Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley will be considered.
Having a minimum of 5 years experience in programming, you should have a HND or higher. You will be assisting in the designing of systems, as well as coming up with solutions. As such, a deep understanding of the problems that customers can come across is essential.
Based in the office in Coventry 2-3 days a week, the other days you will be visiting customers to ascertain their needs and problems. Must be able to create and maintain good working relationships with customers, as well as internal relationships with other colleagues.
