THE JOB

PROCUREMENT NPI MANAGER

Our client is now looking for a Procurement NPI Manager (New Product Introduction) based at their Essex site. The key responsibilities of this role are to manage new product implementation for a variety of products in the following categories; Wiring devices / Chimes / Circuit Protection.

Additional responsibilities cover benchmarking activities on Factored Supplier Tier 2 sourcing, identifying market trends, supply trends and using the client's databases to provide cost and part information to influence the design of a product.
The Procurement NPI Manager will work as part of a global team reporting to the Factored Product Supply Leader.

OBJECTIVES

"Provide dedicated management of NPI projects,
"Align with Category Managers on supplier selection
"Benchmarking activities covering categories/ sites/ products/ suppliers,
"Conduct analysis on supplier selection and make v buy,
"Identify new speculative products,
"Support the factored sourcing team
"Supplier negotiations in alignment with Category managers
"Product and market analysis

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The role demands a candidate who can work under their own initiative and at the same time contribute to a global team. Direct material sourcing experience will be an advantage. The candidate must be able to demonstrate exceeding KPI's in their existing company.

Communication skills will be a key competence, to ensure full stakeholder engagement procurement and ability to work with people of all levels and different cultures.

10% overseas travel required and:

"Has or working towards professional qualifications
"SAP R3 knowledge would be an advantage
"IT Literate with advanced Microsoft Office skills
"Experience of Contract & Supplier negotiations with demonstrable portfolio of results

REMUNERATION
Salary negotiable (depending on skills and experience), 25 days holiday plus stats and company pension.
