A Procurement Manager/ Business Manager is urgently required for our large defence organisation client based in Bristol. The role will be for an initi

l contract of 6 months, but we have been assured that it will probably go on for longer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete procurement and project/subcontract management process between the Project Team and Supply Chain, working with the appropriate functions from requirements definition, development of the Statement of Work, contract negotiation and placement, contract performance and subcontract management, invoice payment, Engineering Change Proposals and contract dispute resolution.

The duties would include-
•Manage subcontracts to ensure timely delivery of milestones to required standards and costs.
•Lead the Procurement activity within the Project Team
•Implement the agreed TNL Procurement Strategy specific to the product Project team requirements.
•Manage the competitive tendering processes for the nominated procurable packages, including the procurement strategy for each Procurable Package.
•Manage the preparation of Requests for Information (RFI)/Quotation (RFQ), management of supplier queries during both RFI/RFQ tendering process within the specific product Delivery team.•
•Manage and provide inputs to the monthly Project reports.
•Ensure subcontracts with suppliers are maintained back-to-back (or consciously not so) as appropriate with the customer.
•Challenge Procedures and Processes and then manage all subcontracts in accordance with the TNL and Alliance Procedures & Processes.
•Identify and manage risks and opportunities affecting the supply chain for the Project Team.

•Knowledge of SMART Procurement/SCRIA
•Management/Leader ship competitive sole course procurements
•Degree or equivalent qualification
•Enthusiasm, Drive and Commitment
