An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Technologist to work for a market leader in the Solid Fuel market. The successful candidate could potentially work towards a Senior Role.
To support the introduction of new processes and technologies into an existing modern industrial manufacturing Works. Work with the laboratory and production teams to develop from pilot scale to full plant production with new and existing equipment.
Key Tasks:
Liaise with the Senior Technical team as to facilitate the introduction of alternative technologies and products as required.
In a supporting role, to take ownership of, facilitate and report on progress of technical projects.
Contribute to the development of a project plan for the introduction of new products/processes demonstrating target dates and key milestones for the project
Work with key production and quality staff when developing and assessing new technical/process capabilities.
Effective support, via the role of Process Technologist, of the Works team involving suppliers, customers and company external development groups ensuring project readiness within agreed time scales.
Support, advise and direct the production group with evaluation activities.
Provide hands-on technical support to production and other core disciplines as required during the process development and when executing evaluation activities. Must be able to handle medium lifting of up to 25kg.
To undertake any other duties which may be requested by the Line Manager for which training has been provided and understood.
To observe and comply with company Health and Safety Policies.
Person Specification:
Essential Requirements:
- Good technical skills with hands-on equipment / process development experience.
- Appreciation of solids handling / mineral technologies.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in Process Industry.
- Good IT skills i.e. Word, Excel, Project, Access.
