We are currently looking for a Midstream Process Engineer to work for a large EPC company in the South East.
This role resides within the Midstream LNG group. This is a new division within our clients organisation aimed at growing business in the areas of LNG, GTL, CTL, Carbon Capture and Gasification and monitoring potential new business areas.
As a Process Engineer the successful candidate will be a driving force in these business areas. The key elements of the role are:
Execute and provide technical and supervisory support to projects within the Midstream LNG group portfolio.
Involved in conceptual and feasibility studies, optimisation work, and pre-FEED stages.
Working closely with customers to understand their needs and produce designs and services to meet these needs.
Provide technical support to business winning activities as required.
Coach and mentor less experienced staff.
Requirements
Previous experience of working on midstream studies and projects.
Minimum qualifications: Chemical Engineering degree and Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership).
Demonstrable experience with strong up-to-date process engineering knowledge of a number of the following areas; gas pre-treatment including acid gas removal, synthesis gas production, gasification, liquefaction, FT technologies and CO2 sequestration.
Knowledge and familiarity with industry wide process simulation software. Possess the skills to manage own work, and the work of others.
Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Experienced in the execution of conceptual studies, optimisation work and front end engineering design stage of projects.
Good customer focus and cost awareness.
Responsibilities
Engineer level: as above
Senior Engineer level: as above plus able and willing to manage small teams, high attention to detail, increasingly proactive and a broad business understanding
Principal Engineer level: as above plus excellent communication skills, effective in providing technical support to others and coaching, capable of providing and planning clear technical direction, a recognised and respected technical member of the team
