Description
Thames Water are looking to recruit a Principle Project Manager to lead the delivery of capital projects in London South area. To ensure regulatory outputs are delivered on time, and also meeting the cost, quality and HSE requirements.
Within this role you will be given the rare opportunity to be responsible for the delivery of a large element of a Thames Waters capital programme. This role also offers the opportunity to lead, develop and shape unit delivering projects and within the role you will be challenged to deliver improving capital efficiency whilst maintaining relations with stakeholders and delivering regulatory outputs to schedule. As well as giving you the opportunity to combine project management with team management and broaden personnel skills to enable future career progression.
The role will involve the following:
•To ensure all projects are delivered to time, cost, quality and HSE requirements in London South area.
•To deliver projects allocated to individual
•To liaise with internal and external stakeholders
•To manage and develop London South team
•To improve capital efficiency inc improving resource utilisation Line management of project managers
• Delivery of circa £30M/yr capex spend
The ideal candidate will hold a strong track record in project management ideally in water or pipeline industries. You will have the ability to lead, motivate and develop team performance and the ability to plan, estimate and prioritise workload.
You should have commercial and financial awareness and the ability to communicate internally and externally to promote schemes such as Health and safety awareness.
Ideally you will be a degree qualified engineer / Chartered engineer or equivalent and will have previous experience with capital project delivery and team management.
