My London base client urgently requires a e Mechanical design engineer with Rolling Stock experience.
Role purpose:
-To lead and provide professional and technical engineering expertise in support of Asset Performance - Fleet activities and Asset Renewal Projects.
-To set company standards in Rolling Stock Engineering for own discipline
To Manage and develop technical capability for own professional discipline
Critical experience, 'know-how' and qualifications:
-Entry Permit
-Depot Safety license ("Area A") for all relevant depots.
-HNC* in a relevant engineering subject
-Considerable experience gained in a rail engineering environment
(*some trade off is possible between academic qualifications and experience)
Nature of Work:
-Mainly office based environment.
-Regular visits to depots and suppliers premises
-Occasional night and/or weekend work
-Some/occasional visits to Contractor's premises within UK
