Our client designs advanced OFDM and MIMO based point to point Ethernet radios for the Enterprise and Service Provider market. If successful you will play a major part in developing the architectures and implementations of next generation systems.
Our client, a global telecoms company, based in Devon, designs and markets a range of advanced OFDM and MIMO based point to point Ethernet radios for the Enterprise and Service Provider market.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Extending from Gigabit Ethernet to RF direct sampling, architecture to detail design, the digital domain in the companies Point to Point products provides challenging development roles for top engineers. If you have experience which meets the requirements, our client can then offer roles where you will play a major part in developing the architectures and implementations of the next generation systems.
Specific Knowledge/Skills Essentials:
- RF/IF sampling/sub sampling with high speed ADCs and DACs.
- High quality clock generation and distribution.
- Power supply design, 100W isolated to 5W non isolated.
- Microprocessor interfacing.
- Design and layout for controlled impedance tracking , EMC qualification, low cost manufacture.
- Development of production test specs and test jigs.
- Proficient in developing architectures and design specifications from requirements, design and test to specification.
- Able to work at levels from detailed design to system test.
Other valuable abilities:
- Able to write drivers, integrate hardware and software.
- An understanding of wireless standards and modulation techniques especially OFDM.
- FPGA/VHDL experience.
- Ethernet hardware interfacing and protocol experience.
- Thermal design.
- Low frequency analogue design.
