Description
A reputed and well known client is seeking to appoint a Principal Engineer to assist with a rapidly expanding workload in a busy transportation office. The spread of work is a mix of public and private sector engagements in a wide selection of projects.
Principal Consultant / Principal Traffic Engineer / Principal Transport Planner
Some but not all tasks to be carried out -
Major public transport and highways scheme design and appraisal
Master planning and transport assessments of major land use developments
Multi-modal transport modelling and economic assessments
Intelligent Transport Systems scheme design and approval
Travel Plan development and implementation
Road safety studies
Traffic Management studies
Public transport studies
Policy & Strategy development including local transport plans
Consultation and public inquiries, candidates should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in some or all of the above fields, be computer literate and have a good working knowledge of junction and/or network modelling software.
Skills -
Good analytical and report writing/data presentation skills are essential
Experience in use of some or all of the following software is desirable;
ARCADY,PICADY,LINSIG,TRANSYT,SATURN,COBA,TUBA,QUADRO,PARAMICS,VISION,TRICS,GIS,Auto CAD
Are you highly motivated, enthusiastic and versatile with great team communication skills?
Do you have a proven track record in consulting and the ability to lead from the front?
Desired - MSc in Transportation Studies, Chartered or Nearly Chartered with UK experience.
