Principal Software Engineer: A software team/project leader is required to join this leading developer of advanced radio & satellite communications solutions for commercial and defence applications. The role is to lead software development on communications and Electronic Warfare projects and programmes, incorporating hands on development as well as Technical management.
You will be Degree qualified with proven Software experience and most recently within a team leader capability. Solid C skills & experience across the full software development lifecycle. Experience of embedded & real-time systems. Both low-level and high-level software. Appreciations of requirements of good user interfaces. Development on a range of target systems and C compilers. The ability to read & understand specifications and protocols. Understanding & appreciation of underlying digital hardware and experience of tool chains and version control systems.
It would be Highly Desirable: Appreciation & experience of DSP techniques. A familiarity with communication and/or Electronic Warfare systems. C++ skills & experience. Knowledge and practical experience of project management lifecycle.
Demonstrate enthusiasm & flexibility necessary to work on a broad range of projects of varying size and complexity, within a dynamic company. The interpersonal skills required to effectively work with internal and external customers at all levels.
