As a Principal/Senior Protection Engineer/Commissioning Officer, you will have proven technical capability associated with the design and/or application of power system protection. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in protection application at transmission voltage levels (up to 500kV). Ideally with experience gained within in a Transmission Utility, Consultancy or Manufacturing environment, an understanding of National Grid standards and capability to fulfil a role as Commissioning Officer will be an added advantage.

Ideally qualified to HNC/HND or degree level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, you will have excellent communications skills both written and oral. The flexibility to travel will be a considerable advantage.

The company provides high-level Technical Assistance and Project Management services to transmission and distribution utilities in both the public and private sector in the UK and in most overseas markets. The protection engineering support is encompassed within the Technical Assistance services and includes conceptual design, preparation of single line diagrams and protection schematics through to the preparation of technical specifications, design audit, settings and maloperation analysis.
