Description
The Principal RF Engineer will join our Client's System team as a technical specialist involved in research and development of high power RF amplifiers incorporating Envelope Tracking technology.
Experience of high power RF design using LDMOS and GaAs transistors is essential, as is a good knowledge of modern amplifier design and familiarity in efficiency enhancement techniques.

The Principal RF Engineer will join our Client's System team as a technical specialist involved in research and development of high power RF amplifiers incorporating Envelope Tracking technology.
Experience of high power RF design using LDMOS and GaAs transistors is essential, as is a good knowledge of modern amplifier design and familiarity in efficiency enhancement techniques.
The successful candidate will demonstrate most of the following skills / experience:
Experience of 1-3GHz high power single ended and/or balanced linear RF amplifiers using LDMOS and/or GaAs devices.
Understanding of gain/efficiency/ linearity design trade-offs and designoptimisation techniques.
Knowledge of load pull and efficiency enhancement techniques such as Doherty amplifiers and Class F operation.
Familiarity with RF linear and non-linear simulation e.g. ADS, MWO
Thorough understanding of low impedance matching techniques using microstrip transmission lines.
Knowledge of thermal design techniques, including junction temp estimation.
Working knowledge of RF characteristics of modern modulation standards e.g. WCDMA / OFDM
Understanding of modern RF measurements and techniques, including measurement of efficiency, ACPR, EVM IM3.
