Description: Reporting to the Mechanical Development Engineering Manager you'll be responsible for the development of mechanical components or systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for structural design and development of a given component or system by applying standard practices/techniques, analysing data, recognising discrepancies in results, following established procedures and operations and documenting results.
Problem definition via working with Service/Customers, failure analysis, analysis of data, comparative analysis, procurement, bench testing, engine testing, interfacing with manufacturing/purchasing, product release.
Lead projects and drive to closure via strong understanding of engine systems, quality systems/product change system.
Provide training/support to others within group.
Essential Skills: Degree or equivilant in relevant Engineering discipline essential.
Proven Problem solving ability on unusual or complex technical problems.
Proven Engine Design/Performance experience.
Proven experience of Capability Analysis and Design of Experiments.
Involvement with Six Sigma process (Green Belt).
Project Management and Formal Presentation skills.
