Principal Engineer
Our Client is looking to recruit a Hardware Design Engineer with a minimum of 7 years experience in analogue design with a good understanding of RF principles and test methods, practical in-depth experience designing power electronics in the form of SMPS and power pulse circuits, a good knowledge of digital circuit design and software implementation is required, and an understanding of related components e.g. magnetrons, circulators, limiters, wound components.
You must ideally be qualified to 2:1 or better degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a related discipline and have a good mathematical knowledge and analytical ability.
MAIN DUTIES
To become part a small team in the development of new products - generally radar transceiver related.
To assist in the production of accurate project plans and development estimates.
To produce regular and accurate progress reports
To design and develop a range of Transceiver related sub-assemblies.
To contribute to feasibility studies related to new product development.
To meet demanding programme timescales and product cost targets.
To be aware of and comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements
To carry out any other reasonable management request
