Job Purpose
A senior engineering management role responsible for all support engineering activities.related to Hawk IOS at RAF Valley.
To hold delegated authority on behalf of the Company.

Accountabilities
-Delegate engineering authority to appropriately qualified management and key supervisors
-To manage and control contract outputs especially safety and quality assurance
-Provide direction and leadership on all aspects of engineering activities
-Build strong relations with our client and partner
-Liase with RAF Hawk Engineering and Fleet Management Authorities
-To manage the scheduled maintenance programme in partnership with the Fleet Manager's team
-Ensure Reported Failures, Incident Reports and Defect Reports are investigated and actioned in accordance with current regulations
-Ensure correct allocation of resources within the Depth business area to ensure engineering output meets the contact requirements and Company business plan
-To provide an up to date source of expertise appropriate to the contract content for the SC to use in the investigation of and bidding for new business.
-Represent the Company as its most senior engineering manager when required
-Promote a just and responsibility based human factors culture
Experience
-Experience ideally within military aircraft operations
-Significant understanding of airworthiness, specifically military airworthiness processes
-Maintenance experience, must have been in a line management capacity
-Ideally will have working knowledge of the fast jet training environment
-Thorough understanding of RAF engineering practices, manuals, documentation, schedules, quality assurance requirements and regulatory requirements
-Proven record off achievement
-An understanding of working with MOD contracts
-Commercially astute understands commercial and budgetary constraints
-Able to demonstrate past fulfilment of significant objectives within given timelines
-Able to implement and maintain efficient working practices
-Able to bring about effective change management processes
-Understanding of Quality and Health & Safety Issues

-Ideally a Graduate Engineer, preferably at Chartered status
