Principal Diesel Applications Engineer- working for a global automotive company this is a new high profile to provide engineering applications support for customers common rail diesel projects.
TASKS:Provide engineering applications support for the customer's common rail diesel project.Develop hardware specifications through discussions with the customer, manufacturing and headquarters.To provide engine application support, including FIE calibration and validation.Co-ordinate the component validation program.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Degree qualified with engine development experience, on either Gasoline or Diesel engines.Knowledge of Diesel Common Rail Systems.Engine Calibration experience.
Understanding of engine combustion. Able to analyse situations and determine actions based on both facts and feelings. Able to interact with different cultures and levels of management on a technical basis. Able to react to rapidly changing circumstances. Good team player. Computer literate with high capability in Excel, Word, Powerpoint.Experience of off highway diesel engine applications preferred.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Able to understand and produce Matlab Simulink models. Able to analyse problems in a controlled manner.Experience of EMS and application tools.
