Principal Consultant, Aviation
Our prestigious multi-disciplinary engineering client are now looking to appoint a Principal Consultant for their successful and rapidly expanding aviation team. Brief responsibilities are listed below.
Effectively undertake Project and team activities in line with Company policy, including commercial, managerial and technical aspects.
Assist senior management in managing a team.
Determine project team members and give them a detailed project brief.
Identify data and the information required for the project and select appropriate sub-consultants if appropriate.
Deliver projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations, including those related to:-
•Airport surface access studies
•Airport terminal facility planning
•Airport terminal capacity analysis/facility sizing
•Airfield layout capacity analysis
•Airfield layout design
•Aerodrome safeguarding
•Airport master planning
•Aviation due diligence
Determine computer modelling requirements and ensure effective output from Junior Staff.
Provide specialist advice to other areas of the business.
Act as Project Manager as necessary.
Prepare fee proposal for senior management approval.
Set up projects on Progression system and allocate budgets to work stages.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Requirement
•Degree educated in relevant discipline
•A minimum of 7 years experience in the aviation industry/consultancy working in airport planning/master planning/ aviation infrastructure development with a demonstrable track record of achievement in this type of work within the UK and Europe
•Experienced in airport planning techniques
•Experienced with IATA/ICAO and other airport planning standards/manuals
Preferable
•Member of relevant professional institution
