Description
One of the country's leading environmental consultancies are looking to bring on board a highly skilled and experienced consultant to join their climate change team based in London. You will be involved in providing advice to their clients on a range of Climate Change and Energy issues. They have a diverse client base, spanning multinational companies, government/public sector organisations and international bodies.
Their work in this area is diverse ranging from providing advice on policy and strategy to government and corporate clients to supporting the implementation of corporate, site and project level responses at a management and technical level. Their work has a strong focus on carbon management for multinational corporations, including climate change strategy development; support with EU ETS compliance; CDM and JI project development; GHG data management; carbon foot-printing of products and services; development of programs for carbon and energy reduction; analysis of renewable energy options; assurance of carbon performance data and related claims. They are also involved in policy and regulatory analysis and advice to governments and international bodies.
You role will involve:
-Managing projects in accordance with their project management system, including work-planning, team briefing, budgeting and progress, project and financial monitoring in order to ensure that all projects are delivered to budget, thus contributing to the profitability of the business.
-To undertake and often lead project research, analysis and report-drafting in accordance with the client's brief and budget to ensure project specifications are met. To manage the relationship with the client during projects.
-To identify and follow up business opportunities (e.g. through response to enquiries or proactive meetings with existing and potential new clients) in liaison with their Partners and colleagues. Managing and contributing to proposals and proposal writing.
