An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Technical Director within a leading UK based environmental and engineering consultancy. This is a high profile opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business.
This is a challenging position which will give you the opportunity to accelerate your career. This is a high profile opportunity for an experienced candidate within the Nuclear Sector. You can be based from either Bristol, Northwich, Reading or their Newcastle office.
Responsibilities:
-Working closely with relevant sector developers and Product Group Directors, you will play a key role in the development of the group, marketing, relationship building and undertaking opportunity creation activities.
-In addition you will support proposals, selling activities and product development plans with other groups such as our Waste, Water and Contaminated Land.
-Direct or manage nuclear consultancy assignments and provide technical input into other projects.
-To communicate and operate at company board level; commercial, negotiation and selling skills; creative business development and account management.
-Provide practical solutions to help clients profess compliance within major projects; strong project direction and management skills and an understanding of financial management, accounting and P&L interpretation.
Requirements:
-BSc Relevant subject Degree
-Consultancy or industry experience, including major account responsibility, sales and business development and project direction. Proven experience in the nuclear sector, delivering nuclear safety support to major projects.
-Solid experience in Nuclear Safety and be an experienced Lead Author of safety cases with the ability to manage the Nuclear Safety contribution to major schemes.
-Ability to train and develop junior staff to deliver Nuclear Safety Product.
-You will also need to demonstrate that you are a clear thinker; have an effective understanding of the Nuclear Sector - the market, client aspirations and how to deliver success.
Salary:- Very competitive basic salary. Negotiable and dependant on experience.
