Mechanical Engineers Powertrain are now required to oversee Project builds through from conception to completion at this plant in Swindon which provides engineering support and manufacturing solutions for one of the worlds leading producers of motorcycles, automobiles and power equipment.

As Mechanical Engineer Powertrain you will co-ordinate/lead projects from conception to completion. You will have an understanding of basic project management skills (cost/delivery) as well as an understanding of how to operate mass production machines. You will fully understand drawings received from Designers (hydraulics/pneumatics) and conduct any modifications required. You will also use and understand fine measurement tools/data. Basic knowledge and use of lathe and mill surface grinders is required. You will also undertake the assembly of jigs and fixtures, as well as installation of the product within the plant.

Successful candidates will need experience of production support, project or hands role essential. Ideally you will currently be working in a hands-on role. Project control experience would also be advantageous although this can be worked upon.
