Mechanical Power Engineer
£60,000
Job Specification:
Responsible to the Regional Executive Consultant for the consultancy activities carried out by the Dubai and UK office. Typically the candidate would be a degree qualified mechanical engineer with a minimum of five years working experience preferably in either the power or desalination industries. Candidates from other engineering disciplines will be considered. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate a good overall knowledge of the project development process in the power or desalination industries and are familiar with plant design, construction, operation and maintenance and the ability to conduct contract reviews and financial model analysis.
Tasks will involve:
The technical and commercial analysis of project documents during the development phase to determine compliance with project objectives and to identify the material technical risks for further discussion with sponsors and lenders.
The writing of technical due diligence reports.
Site visits during both the construction and operations phases and reporting to the lenders.
Liaison with other technical consultants based in the United Kingdom, Dubai and USA.
As well as having the appropriate technical experience candidates must also demonstrate their ability to write technical reports in English, have good verbal communication skills in English and the ability to work as part of an integrated team.
