Civil Design Engineers with experience in the design and assessment of ports and marina's worldwide. Engineer level to Principal level required for this well established and profitable team. Overseas travel will be expected as will at least 2 years experience in the design of modern ports and terminals.
The Ports & Marine division of our client provides diverse engineering and planning services for the continually expanding ports and marine sector. Our group comprises highly motivated engineers and planners with a variety of technical backgrounds including civil, environmental, ocean and structural engineering and port planning, working in several key locations across the world Our strength is derived from the diversity of our marine-related work and our staff.
We are currently seeking a motivated professional to serve in a Senior & Principal role for our Northeast region. The position offers career growth with opportunities for business development and project delivery on ports and marine projects as well as responsibility for managing the activities of a growing business unit.
Specific duties associated with this position include supervising Ports & Marine personnel in the overseas regions engaged in the design, scope, budget and delivery for a variety of ports and marine projects, including planning/design of one or more of the following:
• Waterfront facilities
• Marine terminals, ferry terminals and cruise terminals
• Commercial and industrial piers
• Floating structures
• Seawalls and other shore protection structures
Additionally, the successful candidate will provide guidance and mentoring to staff, lead project teams, and develop client relationships and business opportunities. Travel and field work also may be required.
Requirements: The successful candidate shall have the following skills and experience:
• A minimum of 10 years experience of engineering experience with at least 2 years project work
• Experience in one or more of the following special ties: Planning or design of bridges and/or waterfront facilities; marine terminals; ferry terminals; cruise terminals; commercial and industrial piers; floating structures; and seawalls and other shore protection structures
• A proven ability to succeed in all areas of project management, interact with clients and develop business opportunities
• Strong leadership and communication skills
Education Required:
The successful candidate shall have the following degrees/certifications:
• BS in civil or structural engineering
• MS in civil, structural or ocean engineering is preferred, but not required
